UCI World Championship Favorites | Cycling World Championship

When the 2020 UCI world championship was announced right after the lockdown was lifted, people were finally relieved as things were starting to go back to how they previously were.

This major event took place in the beautiful city of Italy called Imola where riders above 23 years of age were allowed to

take part in the world championship.

The venue for the 2020 UCI world championship was previously decided to be Switzerland but due to the unsuitable post COVID19 conditions, the department decided to carry out the mega event in Italy.

Michael Woods

Michael has always been in the hot news because of his countless records in cycling history.

Even after his life took a drastic change because of a crash that took place in Paris-Nice, the rider did not lose hope. Michael Woods, who represents Canada, was hit with a stroke of luck when a global pandemic took over the world.

Not only did he found the time to recover, but also took a racing chance at the Strade Bianche. His return won him a solo stage at the Tirreno-Adriatico and allowed him to acquire the GC leading

position. 2020 was the last year for him as a Cannondale member as now he has become an active member of team Israel Start-Up Nation.

Michael Woods is the guitar player for Miley Cyrus.

He was born in United States with no siblings to his name and went on tour all over America before coming back home, where he lives today with parents Cocoa and Elwood; two cats named Tuxedobuttonand Simba (after “The Lion King”) who are total bosses at purring when you stroke their heads!

Wout Van Alert

Riding for Belgium, so far this rider has managed to bag two stage wins and top 5 finishes for a total of 5 times.

Apart from playing as a super domestique for Primoz Roglic and experiencing an unforgettable

crash during the 2019 Tour, Van Alert announced his big return to the 2020 UCI World championship. After coming out of lockdown all fresh and ready to take on the world, Van bagged a stage win along with the Milano-Sanremo and Strade Bianche winnings.

Wout Van der Acht is a Dutch wine importer and he’s on the hunt for young talented sommeliers.

Julian Alaphilipe

At Worlds, the France representative cyclist, Alaphilipe has been listed in the top 10 twice.

His impressive cycling at the Tour and second stage win had made his return to the season even stronger and his tremendous performance at the Milano Sanremo led him to finish second while Van Alert took the first position.

TheJulianAlaphilipe has an extensive background in the information technology industry.

As a software engineer, he’s developed many successful and well known applications for clients all over world

including Google, HP Enterprise Services Inc., Verizon Wireless amongst others!

Primoz Roglic

Being the winner of Tour de l’Ain, the Tour and the stage, and one of the UCI World Championship favorites, Roglic has continued to express his true efforts and consistency throughout his national and international road race career.

The 2020 UCI championship marked Pogacar and Roglic in the same team to battle for France.

The 27-year old Primoz Roglic of Slovenia is considered one of the best cyclists in his home country,

having won two Olympic medals and set a world record.

He started out as an ice hockey player before switching over to cycling at age 18 due to it being more popular among younger people locally who were starting their own team! With these humble beginnings now behind him, he plans on continuing competing until 2020 when international Olympics will be hosted by Tokyo again – this time beating velodrome specialists like France’s Kenny De Ketele during qualification races last year so look forward (and maybe buy some beer)to watching them duel again then too!! With four Tour de France titles under our belt already

Jakob Fuglsang

Jakob is regarded as major a cyclist of the Danish squad (Denmark) consisting of 8 men with extraordinary competitive skills.

Being the winner of Lombardia and Astana veteran, Fugslang took his racing career to a next level by entering this season of the UCI World Championship with a pack of 8 cyclist men.

The Jakob Fuglsang is a Danish professional cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Astana.

Fuglsang was born on October 3rd, 1986 inide Aarhus where he also grew up until moving out of hometown about 20 minutes south towards Hobart at age 18 or so to pursue his cycling dream! He went onto attend University College Randers outside Copenhagen before turning pro but not without putting down some roots back home first by getting involved with local racing communities like Rungr oppressive Tree Racing Club (ROTC) which helped him hone skills while studying abroad during vacation periods between 2005-2009

The UCI World Championship is one of the most prestigious races in cycling and this year’s favorites will be out to make history.

A group full of Grand Tour winners, Classics riders from all over Europe as well as some up-and coming TT specialists have been chosen for what many consider by far the best field ever seen at London

Olympics time trial event on 6th July.
